Contribute Now!

The submission gates are OPEN! Submit your stories, rants, anecdotes, or anything related to games to lowscoremag@gmail.com. Additionally, we are looking for contributors! Write us if you have an interest in print, social media, editing or other shenanigans. We can use you!

Don’t know what or how to write? No problem! Email us anyway and we will be happy to talk ideas or practicalities with you. Don’t worry about your articles being perfect and if you’re not sure what to write send us ideas, messy paragraphs and drafts or contact us before the deadline so we can figure it out.

We make a point of saying Yes, so if you or your piece don’t fit neatly into our submission guidelines, write to us anyway. We will be happy to talk with you about publishing with us.

Submission Guidelines

1: That you are a student (of any university) or a recent graduate, or a future student, or a young person broadly.

2: That your article is related to games digital or analogue, existing or hypothetical. Thoughts on play and ludic culture are also welcome and encouraged, as are personal experiences and opinions on any of these topics.

3: That your piece is at least 500 words long. For now we have no upper limit, but we reserve the right to ask you for shorter versions and edit down, always with your consent.

We are happy to make exceptions for any and all of these rules if your piece fits our general mission. Write to us at lowscoremag@gmail.com.
